Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ and our Mother Mary!

Thank you for visiting us through the official web site of the Order of the Most Holy Mary Theotokos – “The Old Catholic Marianists”! It is a joy to know that the Holy Spirit led you to us! We would like to introduce you to the heart of our community.

The Old Catholic Marianists is in many ways a family. We are a community that takes seriously the worship of God and the love of our neighbors. We try to make both a daily part of our lives. Please know that you are always most welcome here. We would love for you to come back as often as you can.

We gather together because we love, trust, and believe in our Savior Jesus Christ, and we want to encourage and assist one another in knowing, honoring, and serving Him; and in introducing others to Him. We also practice Old Catholic polity, believing in the autonomy of the local church, under the headship of Jesus Christ, through His Apostles and their successors. Our religious community includes members from a variety of backgrounds, including Catholic, Celtic, Anglican, Orthodox, and other Christian denominations.

We are committed to the basic doctrines of the Old Catholic faith, as expressed in our Statement of Faith. To us, these are the guideposts of our spiritual and personal lives. Standing on such a foundation, and for the honor and glory of our Lord Jesus Christ, we choose to love and bless our Christian brothers and sisters with whom we may disagree over secondary matters of faith or practice, but whom we agree with on the basic Christian principles of the Gospel. We strive to work with all Christians for the greater glory of God, and we believe this pleases the Lord and expresses His character, and helps us to accomplish His purpose of drawing all people unto Him.

The O.SS.T. consists of a wonderful family of churches, religious communities, congregations, parachurch ministries, clergy, chaplains, religious, and individual lay members, all working individually, and together, to spread the Gospel and bring Christ to His people; especially through His blessed Mother.

If you have not already done so, we hope you will have a look at our entire web site to learn more about us, our history, and our life as a monastic community. If you are looking for a community of faith to be a part of, whether it be as a monk, oblate, or companion, we hope you’ll see that there are many ways to be involved in this community. We hope you will consider O.SS.T. your spiritual home.

We strongly believe that God calls people together to travel a spiritual journey, and that journey is a happier one when we make it together: growing and being changed by God in the things we experience on the way.
